Good morning and happy Friday! It’s been a couple of weeks since I posted last and I wanted to share a “lately” post to catch up with what’s been going on. February has definitely flown by and it has been a tougher month. The weather has been kind of terrible and I long for sunny, warmer days. I also have no travels on the schedule to look forward to so I have to just sit, be patient, and figure out some other ways to entertain myself. Currently that has been watching New Girl in the evenings, baking and eating my favorite brownies, and…

reading…the highly recommended “An American Marriage” and just finished “The Handmaid’s Tale” which I thought was just eh. What are you reading right now?

drinking…our signature smoothie; almond milk/frozen banana and pineapple/spinach/ginger/juice from 1 lime/and fresh mint. It’s always refreshing mid-day.

loving…these yellow tulips that a client gave to me this week just because. I want to bring people pretty flowers just because too. I also like the color they bring to the room during these gloomy days.

waiting to see…A Wrinkle in Time. It doesn’t come out for a couple of weeks but I might finally venture to a movie theater to see it. The cast and costumes look fantastic!

feeling inspired by…this post by Alexis and how she paid off her student loan debt while facing some major struggles. She is quite the strong woman and I felt uplifted after reading her story.

mentioning this again…do you get Alex’s newsletter? If not, I highly recommend signing up for it. I loved reading what she had to share this week especially. She began shifting her focus from professional goals she wants to accomplish this year to instead, writing down “life experiences” she wants to have this year. What a refreshing thought. She realized that work and life both deserve a place on her calendar, not solely work. I realized that the only goals I really have for this year are completely “professional” focused and it also doesn’t surprise me that so far the year has felt devoid of fun and lightheartedness. What do you think about this concept?

looking forward to…a girl’s night on Friday, catching up with a friend over coffee on Saturday morning, and then spending time with my family on Sunday. Also, having some down time on Saturday to recharge from the week is always good too.

That’s all for me! What have you been up to lately?

I hope you have a lovely weekend!
